Ghana became the first country in sub-Saharan Africa to gain its Independence  in March 6 1957. This was a huge mile stone for Ghana and Africa as a whole so there’s no better time to celebrate all things Ghanaian than on this day!

We all want to look good while vibing to the likes of Sarkodie and Tiffany!  Here are some modern ways to wear traditional clothing at Ghana’s 56th Independence celebrations.

Slim Fit shirts are on-trend and the below designs from Loud Culture feature Kente style patterns to give a traditional touch to your clothing.  Pair the shirt with a block coloured knee length skirt or jeans  and accessorise with TopShop’s Geo Cut Out Perspex Collar.
